What an amazing place. Your hosts, Richard and Heather, have thought of everything to provide that home from home experience in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. The house has a shower in each bedroom, with the master suite also having a bath. The décor is in keeping with Barbados, but still has that feel of home. The rooms are fully air conditioned and provide the cooling that we need. The rooms also stay at a comfortable temperature without the air conditioning, as the building is designed to stay cool. The beds and bedding are new providing a comfortable sleep. The kitchen has the latest appliances and attention has been given to the crockery and utensils.
I cannot stress enough the amazing location, on the West Coast and close to the impressive Sandy Lane hotel. Shops are so close, with the amenities of Holetown only a short walk away. If you like fine dining, mid-range or quicker take aways, it’s all on the doorstep. The house has a free pass to the beach club that has a state-of-the-art pool and facilities and located right on the beach.
I recommend the house to families, couples or even on your own to get away from it all, enjoy the weather, and the central location. It’s only a short bus away from Bridgetown and Speightstown.
We have just arrived home from our Bajan Hideaway experience. The property, value for money and location are all 5-star. The property is stunningly decorated with beautiful furniture and local features. The property manager is amazing and will assist you at any time during your stay.
The property is superbly located and walkable to the stunning beach and private beach club, offering great food and drink. Bars, restaurants, shops and supermarket are all within easy walking distance.
Richard and Heather are great hosts and very knowledgeable about the Island. They provided us with some great suggestions on restaurants, bars and places to visit.
We enjoyed our time there so much that we are booking to stay again this year – returning to paradise!
The Bajan Hideaway is the ideal home base for a trip to Barbados! The location on the west side of the island means that Holetown’s most sought-after beaches, bars and restaurants are just a walk away. Not to mention a large supermarket! The private access to the beach club is a fantastic perk as it means that you can enjoy being close to the beach without needing to pay for a sunbed at one of the other local beach bars. The condo itself has all of the home comforts you could want and more, and the aircon and fan systems make the internal temperature cool and comfortable. Highly recommend and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back!
We had a lovely time and whenever we had questions, they were answered promptly. The unit was comfortable and quite well appointed. The area is very walkable and it is also close to the pool and buses for exploring the region.
Heather & Richard gave us so much great info and their condo did not disappoint!
Super easy to find, easily walkable to all amenities from beach to bars, bus stops and shops, this little gem is tucked away and private.
Super clean, the kitchen (with large American style fridge) had everything we needed. Beds super comfy, hot water and air con all great, living room comfy and relaxed. They even left some laundry liquids, really handy for beachwear etc.
However the true value is in its fab location to use as a base for the whole West Coast and how brilliant Heather and Richard were, from booking to advice on restaurants. Marcia (property manager) is also super lovely and answered even at night when needed. And the little Italia coffee shop literally 50m away does fabulous morning coffee!

We had a fantastic stay at Heather’s property, and they, along with property manager Marcia were excellent hosts.
Firstly, the location, it is a short walk to all the amenities you could need including restaurants, the beach, coffee shops and supermarkets. Transport connections are also easy by bus and taxi.
Secondly, the property was clean and modern but had a lovely Bajan feel, cosy and we felt completely at home there. Towels were provided and changed during our stay which was also much appreciated as we spent so much time at the beach.
Lastly, the property manager Marcia was extremely responsive and on hand for any questions we had and recommendations we were looking for. We also loved the added touch of the Christmas tree for our stay which helped us kick off the festivities, so thank you again Heather and Richard! 🙏🏽
We would most definitely return and recommend to others, as it is located in one of the best spots on the island and the hospitality was excellent.
A real hidden gem!! This beautiful apartment is worth every penny. Modern kitchen, air conditioning in every room, washing machine, big fridge, smart TV (with Netflix), very comfy and big beds, two en-suite bathrooms and attractive comfy furniture.
Location is great! Vibrant! There is an excellent choice of restaurants from fine dining to local grills. All within walking distance.
The beach, where you can swim with turtles!
7 minutes walk away and this apartment comes with free access to the Sunset Crescent swimming pool right on the beach!
Supermarket is very close by. Local buses pass by very regularly and are great way of getting round.
Heather was an outstanding host. The apartment was spotless and cleaned during the holiday and the bed sheets changed too.
Any queries were sorted immediately by Marcia who manages the property for Heather. She was also contactable if I need any advice about the island.

The Bajan Hideaway is a true gem within the beautiful island of Barbados! Within the secluded streets of Holetown, Heather & Richard have created an exceptional space with a homely aura that is perfect to relax in after a fun packed day of exploring what the island has to offer. With a perfect location which is enough away from the touristy bustle of Bridgetown, The Bajan Hideaway offers lots of local owned businesses, beautiful beaches and duty free shops in the vicinity. The villa is surrounded by welcoming and friendly locals always attempting to put a smile on your face. There is a large supermarket called Massy’s a stones throw away as well as multiple bus stops which gives you an easy root to either north or south of the island.
The villa itself is tucked away amongst the trees with a sun kissed outdoor space for relaxing. Inside you will find a modern, clean open plan villa with a large living room/kitchen/dining space, two large bedrooms with double beds, both leading to ensuites and a wash room with an extra shower and space to hang those wet swimming costumes. As an added bonus the villa comes with passes to the a local private swimming pool with a bar/restaurant if getting sandy feet from the beach isn’t your thing.
Our trip was over the Christmas period. Heather pulled out all the stops to make it a magical Caribbean Christmas for our family by decorating a Christmas tree. Marcia the property manager was very welcoming and made our stay as stress free and enjoyable as possible. She also gave some great recommendations alongside the information packed booklet provided by the hosts. The Bajan Hideaway truly is a home from home for us and we are already planning our next visit!
